Snow White And The Huntsman 2012 (PG 13)

About : Snow white and the huntsman is a fantasy film based on  the German fairy tale snow white however this film is more of an adult fantasy this film is about a young woman called snow white after her father was murdered and her mother died snow white was imprisoned by the Evil Queen and Step Mother Ravenna. After asking the mirror who is the fairest of them all the mirror replies with snow white is the fairest this made the queen hire a huntsman  to take Snow into the woods and Kill her but things don't go according to Queen Ravenna's plan.  How ever the Queens plan changes when the mirror reveals that snow white is the source of her immortality. The Huntsman turns against the Queen and begins saving snow white instead and helping snow plot against her step mother declaring war.

Summary: at the start of the film we see snows mother pricking he finger on a rose thorn asking for a daughter with  Skin as white as the snow, with lips as red as the blood, hair as black as a raven's wings and a heart as strong and defiant as the rose. later on we see her mother giving birth to a daughter who looks exactly as she wished snow white is raised with her best friend prince William who when they are being invaded swears to find snow white  wherever she is. Snow white and William later becomes lovers however during his time with snow white the huntsman also starts baring feelings for Snow but keeps them a secret and remain professional. throughout the film we see snow white Gaining Followers and then at the end of the film a war breaks out we see both armies strong however they can only be one victorious army which is snowhite's , through out the film we see snow whites personality change from princess to warrior.


Review: the films plot and visual was aesthetically pleasing however my only issues are that the movie seemed rush and the leading actress I don't think Kristen Stewart was a great choice for snow white she didn't really look like snow white if it was my movie I would have picked Katie McGrath to play snow white she is young and looks exactly like snow white if snow white was played by a much more better actress  then the movie would be much better. I think casting Kristen Stewart has spoiled the movie she didn't at all fit the profile of snow white. The casting for the queen was a great choice Charlize Theron did a good job her portrayal shows that she put effort in her character. Chris Hemsworth also didn't really fit the casting of the huntsman however he did put effort in the character but he wasn't the best choice.

Recommended for: young adults and adults not really suitable for children cause of the films intense violent plot line
